Lecture on Climate and Wildfire
The Oregon Institute of Marine Biology’s fall seminar series is taking place online again this year. The talks take place at 4 p.m. on Fridays. These events are free and open to the public, but it is necessary to request access in advance.
On Friday, Nov. 19, the speaker is Peter Walker, a professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Oregon. His topic: “This changes everything: social adaptation to climate-driven wildfire risk in Western Oregon.” Dr. Walker's interests are in the social and political dimensions of human uses of the physical environment, with focus on Africa and the American West.
If you wish to attend this lecture, contact (24 hours in advance) Dr. Aaron Galloway, agallow3@uoregon.edu, to request the zoom link and passcode.
