LCDC Meets to Discuss Territorial Sea

Oregon’s Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) meets on Thursday and Friday Feb. 3-4, and the Territorial Sea Plan is on the agenda. 

The Feb. 3 meeting begins at 8:30 a.m.  The agenda doesn’t give times for the various items, but a general public comment period is the fourth agenda item, and the Territorial Sea Plan update is next, so presumably in the morning.  LCDC is now ready to consider the updates in the form of the Rocky Habitat Management Strategy that has been approved by the Ocean Policy Advisory Council.  Public testimony will be accepted on this matter (see information on how to testify in the agenda).  No decision will be made at this meeting; the commission meets again Match 31-April 1, when a decision is expected.

On Friday, the public portion begins at 9:30 a.m. (an executive session will be held prior).  There is less that is coast-related being covered on this day, although one agenda item does involve grants to be provided by the department on the north coast.
