The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) Marine Reserves team will be conducting intertidal mussel bed surveys next week at the Cascade Head Marine Reserve. They are looking for volunteers to help with data recording, counting mussels/snails/sea stars, and conducting photo quadrats.

Volunteers will meet at the Newport ODFW Office (2040 S.E. Marine Science Drive, Newport) at 5 a.m. to carpool to the study site within Cascade Head Marine Reserve. Volunteers should expect to conclude and return to Newport around 10-11:30 a.m.
