Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS and the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Department are hosting an event at Netarts Bay (4949 Netarts Hwy West, in Netarts) at 7 a.m. to spread awareness about sustainable clamming. They will share information about the types of clams found in Netarts Bay, their distribution and abundance, their ecological role, and current research and regulations around harvesting. Additionally, they will lead clamming efforts and offer tips on participating in successful and sustainable harvests.
