The Oregon Institute of Marine Biology (OIMB) is hosting a public lecture on Friday, Oct. 28, at 4 p.m. in the OIMB Boathouse Auditorium (63466 Boat Basin Rd in Charleston). The speaker for this event is Dr. Eric Sanford, from the Bodega Marine Laboratory of UC Davis and his talk is titled “Ecological and evolutionary dynamics of poleward shifts in the geographic ranges.”
About the Dr Sanford's research:
"Our lab studies how marine communities are influenced by global environmental change. We share a passion for interdisciplinary research and training, experimental field ecology, invertebrate zoology, and the natural history of intertidal communities along the Pacific Coast of North America."
This event is free and open to all. Registration is not required. To reach the OIMB Boathouse Auditorium, park on Boat Basin Rd. near the campus and walk down the road past the Coast Guard housing.
