The state’s Ocean Policy Advisory Council (OPAC) has organized a working group to consider amendments to Territorial Sea Plan Part 4. The working group holds a meeting online on Wednesday, July 26, 9 a.m.
The Territorial Sea Plan governs our management of Oregon’s marine waters; Part 4 concerns uses of the seafloor. This process will be of particular interest to those concerned about cables crossing the seabed, among other matters. During this meeting comments from NOAA and coastal Tribes, as well as the state’s Department of Justice, will be considered.
Recommendations from the working group will go to OPAC and, if approved, go on to the Land Conservation and Development Commission for rule-making.
