Why did we see so many Common Murres on Oregon beaches last month? What about the perching birds in late May? And where did all of those foam shoes wash in from? On Wednesday, October 18, COASST science coordinator Jackie Lindsey will talk about what’s washed in along the Oregon coastline this year and the citizen science researchers working to answer all those questions! Join us at 6 p.m. to learn more about the Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team (COASST) and two beach surveyor training workshops on October 20th and 21st in northern Oregon. CoastWatch Program Manager Jesse Jones will introduce Jackie and share about recent CoastWatch news.
