Those concerned about forest policy will have an opportunity to comment in person on the scientific aspects of the new draft Northwest Forest Plan for the region’s national forests.  On Tuesday, December 6, a “Public Forum for Soliciting Input for Peer Reviewers of the Northwest Forest Plan Science Synthesis” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Doubletree by Hilton Portland Hotel, 1000 NE Multnomah St, Portland, OR 97232.  It is also possible to participate via webinar.

The event is free and open to all, but it is necessary to RSVP.  You can do that, learn more about the agenda, find links to the draft Northwest Forest Plan, and find additional information at this link.

You can also use a special portal for submitting written comments online (the deadline for this is January 6).
