Dominick DellaSala, president and chief scientist at the Geos Institute, based in Ashland, will give a presentation about climate change and temperate rainforests, with a focus on the redwoods of the southern coast, on Friday, December 16, 2016. Dr. DellaSala has authored more than 200 technical papers on forest and fire ecology, conservation biology, endangered species management, and landscape ecology. His talk, “Temperate Rainforests, Climate Change, and the Oregon Redwoods,” takes place at 5:30 p.m. at the Brian Scott Art Gallery (515 Chetco Ave.) in Brookings. It is sponsored by Wild and Scenic Rivers.
