Fawn Custer, CoastWatch’s volunteer coordinator, will lead a guided beachwalk in Manzanita. Meet at the end of Treasure Cove Beach Lane, at 495 Beach St., at 1 p.m. on January 9.
Fawn will provide an introduction to CoastWatch for newcomers, including training on how to monitor a CoastWatch mile. She will also provide background on the King Tide photographic project and other coastal citizen science projects.
Enjoy this chance to walk the shoreline with a highly knowledgeable naturalist, learn about the ecology of the driftline, and ask questions.
To contact Fawn for more information: (541) 270-0027, fawn@oregonshores.org.
