Elliott State Forest.
A wide range of groups concerned about preserving public lands are collaborating to sponsor an Elliott State Forest Lobby Day in Salem on Thursday, February 23. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The exact location where activists will gather for background information and lobbying training is not yet determined. Transportation to the State Capitol and lunch (not to mention T-shirts) will be provided.
Participants will prepare themselves, then head to the Capitol for pre-arranged meetings with their legislators. Here’s a chance to speak up for preventing sale of the Elliott to private interests.
