Pollinator Conservation Talk

On Sunday October 15 at 2 p.m. in the Yachats Commons, Laren Leland is giving a talk about native bee conservation and how you can help pollinators in your own yard and on a larger scale. In addition to sharing her experience gardening for pollinators in Portland and in the Yachats River Valley, Laren will be discussing the Pollinator Corridor Project our group is developing with ODOT on the 25 miles from Newport to the Lane County line south of Yachats. The event is put on by the Yachats Academy of Arts & Sciences. 

The mission of the Yachats Academy of Arts & Sciences is to provide educational and entertainment opportunities for people on the central Oregon coast. Sponsored by the Friends of the Yachats Commons, we encourage the residents of the village of Yachats, Oregon to work with Academy board members to organize those events that they judge to be most enjoyable.
