The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is holding a series of “town halls” around the state, to seek public input on the priorities reflected in their draft proposed budget for 2019-2021. The first of these on the coast takes place Monday, April 9, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the North Bend Public Library (1800 Sherman Ave.)
Members of the public are invited to comment on any aspect of the budget. Conservationists are particularly concerned about cuts to the department’s programs for monitoring water quality and quantity and protecting streamflow.
