Guided Beachwalk

Bastendorff Beach.

Join Fawn Custer, CoastWatch’s volunteer coordinator, for a guided beachwalk at Bastendorff Beach County Park, at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 (after the Science Fair on the Coos Bay boardwalk, where Fawn will be tabling earlier in the day).  Bastendorff Beach is located on Cape Arago Highway just south of Charleston (the official address is 63377 Bastendorff Beach Rd.).  The walk, free and open to all, should last until about 5 p.m.

The walk is first and foremost a training opportunity for current CoastWatchers, and a chance to learn what is involved for prospective new mile adopters.  But anyone who is interested in coastal natural history is invited.  Fawn will discuss the contents of the driftline, explain CoastWatch monitoring, introduce our citizen science projects, and answer any and all questions.
