Jordan Cove LNG Information Forum
Local conservation groups have convened a public meeting to present information about the proposed Jordan Cove LNG export terminal project and the associated Pacific Connector gas pipeline. Speakers include former Oregon Secretary of State Bill Bradbury and representatives of Citizens Against LNG and Rogue Climate. The free public event takes place 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 27, in the Coos Bay Public Library (525 Anderson Ave.)
The focus will be on the local impacts to both environment and economy, and on what authority the state of Oregon has to block the project. Information will be provided on how to engage with the ongoing regulatory process. The forum will conclude with a question-and-answer session and a facilitated community discussion.
