Hydrobiologist Kirill Kotkin, from Moscow State University, will speak on Marine biological research in the Russian Arctic at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology (OIMB) on Wednesday, July 18, at 4 p.m. in the OIMB Boathouse Auditorium.
This is part of OIMB's 2018 Summer Seminar Series. These talks are free and open to the public, although aimed at scientists and science students. The seminars give members of the public a chance to listen in on scientists as they discuss research in their own terms, and this lecture affords a rare opportunity to learn about research in a remote part of the world from one of the Russian scientists conducting it.
To reach the Boathouse Auditorium, part near OIMB on Boat Basin Rd. and walk down the lane past the Coast Guard housing.
