Mark your calendars to celebrate the 50th anniversary of America's Wild and Scenic Rivers program! Co-sponsored by Kalmiopsis Audubon, Wild Rivers Land Trust, Curry Watersheds Partnership, and Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, this event will feature a festive reception, local premiere of the film "Protected," plus a presentation by author, photographer, and national wild and scenic rivers enthusiast Tim Palmer. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, at Curry Public Library's new Meeting Hall (94341 3rd St, Gold Beach).
