Scientists and graduate students from Oregon State University have been conducting research on gray whales from OSU’s Port Orford field station all summer, no doubt inspiring a lot of local curiosity.  Now comes a chance to learn what they’ve been up to.  The research group will provide a public presentation on their findings at the OSU Field Station (444 Jackson St., one block west of the Crazy Norwegian’s restaurant) at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31.  The event is free and open to all; light refreshments will be served.

The presentation is sponsored by the OSU Marine Studies Initiative, Geospatial Ecology of Marine Megafauna Lab, Wild Rivers Coast Alliance, and Oregon Sea Grant.
