On Sunday September 30th, from 10a.m. to 2p.m., Vision Quest’s Get Wild Series presents Oregon Coast Quest Launch. For this event, they ask you to stop by Campsite #3 at Waxmyrtle Campground (Oregon Coast Hwy, Dunes City) in the Siltcoos Recreation Area any time between 10:00a.m. and 2:00p.m. to celebrate the launch of a new Lagoon Trail Quest. Field rangers and Quest writers are hosting with no-cost s’mores, interpretive tables and a campfire. Visit them before or after you take your self-guided Quest. They recommend that you park in the public parking area and walk in. This event is free, but a Northwest Forest Pass is required to park at the Siltcoos Recreation Area.
The Vision Quest group are hosting multiple free events at the end of September. Vision Quest is an initiative of Siuslaw Vision and brings together partners like the Siuslaw Public Library; Lane Community College, Florence Center; Oregon State Parks; the US Forest Service; and community member volunteers who want to bring amazing, high-quality, free programming about the outdoors to our region.
