Join the Portland Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, the Cape Falcon Marine Reserve, and Oregon State Parks for a beach cleanup along with some restoration projects at Oswald West State Park (Arch Cape) on Saturday October 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
They plan to spend 2 hours on beach clean-up and minor Oswald West restoration projects with Oregon State Park rangers. Volunteers will be treated to a Surfrider PDX sponsored snacks and beverages.
It is suggested that bring your work clothes, some friends and a surfboard if you want to stay afterwards and ride some waves. Please RSVP so the organizers can get an accurate headcount for food and volunteers.
About Surfrider Portland:
The Portland Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation’s work is focused keeping it clean upstream through our programs including#DitchTheStrawPDX, Ocean Friendly Restaurants, Green Streets, Hold On To Your Butt programs and our Blue Water Task Force water quality monitoring program out on the north coast. Chapter meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 7:00 PM. The meetings are open to the public and family friendly.
