Great views of Coos Bay ay and one of the best birding spots will be featured in a birding experience offered by the Friends of South Slough Reserve on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is open to everyone.  Participants will meet in the parking lot directly behind Millicoma Intermediate School (260 2nd Ave, Coos Bay) on 4th Ave.  An interpreter will be on hand, and binoculars and spotting scopes will be provided to those participating. Dress for the weather.  A donation of $2 per birder is requested.

Note that the event may be cancelled due to low enrollment or hazardous weather. Activity fees and donations cover materials and are used by the Friends of South Slough Reserve in support of the reserve and its Interpretive Center.
