Oregon’s Ocean Policy Advisory Council (OPAC) will meet on Wednesday, April 3, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., in Salem’s Holiday Inn (3301 Market St., N.E). A number of items are on the agenda that are of potential interest to those concerned about ocean policy, but of most urgent interest is consideration of the draft Rocky Shores Management Strategy. For more on this, go here.
There is a public comment period schedule at 10:45 a.m., at which time it will be possible to address OPAC on rocky shores or any other topic. (Note: The agenda is tentative, and primarily intended to indicate the sequence of topics, rather than strict time limits. See the full agenda here: https://bit.ly/2U6TICL.)
The session of rocky shores management is slated for 1 p.m. Other topics on the agenda include marine reserves, the Territorial Sea Plan, aquaculture and restoration of sea otters.
