Talk on Fire Permeable Communities

Fire expert Rich Fairbanks will give a presentation on how to make communities and homes safer in our increasingly fire-prone climate on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 6:30-8 p.m. in the Chetco Public Library (405 Alder St.) in Brookings.  The free public event is sponsored by the Wild Rivers Coast Forest Collaborative and the Kalmiopsis Audubon chapter.

Fairbanks spent 32 years with the U.S. Forest Service, specializing in wildfires.
