Elliott Forest Mushroom Hike

Oregon Shores joined conservationists throughout the state in successfully opposing a plant that would have sold off the Elliott State Forest for logging.  The state held onto it, and planning is underway for its future.  Meanwhile, here’s a chance to explore an old growth area of the forest on a mushroom walk guided by expert local mycologists.  The expedition takes place on Saturday, Nov. 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Meet at the Allegany Country Store at Milepost 14 on Hwy 214 (10592 Hwy 214) at 10 a.m.  Carpool will leave from there.  Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP to coastrangeforestwatch@gmail.com
