The United Nations celebrates World Oceans Day each year on June 8. This year’s theme is “Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean.”
On the Oregon front, the celebration will take place online. The public is invited to join a special Oregon State University Science Pub activity honoring World Oceans Day. On Monday, June 8, beginning at 6 p.m., this virtual event will feature a screening of Oregon State Productions “Heceta Bank,” a companion short film produced by OSU, a guest Q&A panel, trivia, art, music, and a special reading of a children’s ocean storybook
