The federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), along with Oregon’s Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD), are convening a meeting of the BOEM Oregon Intergovernmental Energy Task Force to discuss potential development of wind energy off Oregon’s coast. The online meeting, open to the public, takes place on Thursday, June 4, 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., with public comments or questions will be accepted at the end of the meeting.
The Task Force is an intergovernmental group, including federal, state, local, and tribal representatives, and elected officials.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an update by BOEM and other task force members on activities relevant to offshore wind, and to discuss approaches for engagement, and data and information gathering, to inform potential offshore wind energy planning and leasing decisions in ocean waters offshore from Oregon. Additional details are available on BOEM’s webpage at https://www.boem.gov/Oregon.
