The South Coast Striders hiking group is attempting a new gambit to evade the clutches of the coronavirus. Instead of a socially distanced hike by a group, they are promoting a “virtual group hike” by individuals.
The idea is to organize your own hike, alone or with a few friends, anywhere on the south coast, anytime on Aug. 15-17. Then document the hike with photos, to help others learn about the available trails on the south coast.
