The Cape Perpetua Collaborative is hosting a Young Scientist Webinar Series featuring graduate students and postdocs sharing their ocean research. This series will take place October – April on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m.
Next up is Lindsay Adrean, lead faculty research assistant with the Oregon Marbled Murrelet Project. During this presentation, Lindsay will provide an overview of the research being conducted by the Marbled Murrelet Project. Researchers on the project have captured and radio-tagged murrelets over three years, so far, to investigate their forest nesting habits and at-sea movements along the coast of Oregon.
Adrean received her M.Sc. in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University, where her research focused on avian predation of juvenile salmon in San Francisco Bay. She then spent several years working for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife in Tillamook and Salem, working on avian predation issues and implementing the Oregon Conservation Strategy, before joining the Marbled Murrelet Project.
