The King Tides Project will be featured in the Dec. 9 online talk that is part of the World of Haystack Rock lecture series sponsored by the Friends of Haystack Rock.  Speaking will be Meg Reed, Coastal Shores Specialist with the Oregon Coastal Management Program.  Meg is CoastWatch’s partner in organizing the King Tides Project each year.

Her topic is “King Tides:  How to Participate, Looking Back over the Years, and Updates Regarding Sea Level Rise and Climate Impacts along the Oregon Coast.”  She will provide everything a prospective volunteer needs to know about this coastwide citizen science project, while explaining why it is important and what effects from climate change we can expect to see on the shore.

Join the presentation on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 7 p.m., via Facebook Live @Friends of Haystack Rock.
