Members of the public have until 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, to comment on a proposal by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (State Parks) to close two segments of Tillamook County’s shoreline to vehicles.

State Parks proposes to close the beach from the tip of the Sand Lake spit to the southern edge of Tierra del Mar, and from the ramp near Cape Kiwanda (Hungry Harbor Rd.) south a quarter of a mile (aside from dory boat loading and unloading).

Oregon Shores strongly supports these proposed closures.
