Four bird-focused citizen science projects taking place on the north coast will be described in an online session hosted by Friends of Cape Falcon Marine Reserve and Portland Audubon on Tuesday, March 30, at 6 p.m. The session is free and open to all, but registration is required.
The webinar will discuss how citizens can participate in “community science,” observing nature, and particularly birds, while gathering information of interest to scientists and resource managers. Projects involve monitoring such avian populations as seabirds, black oystercatchers, and pelicans.
Register now at Eventbrite and you will receive a link to the Zoom webinar in early March.
